Meet Catherine!

I am known as Catherine, and I am in my late twenties. Many would call me an "old soul". By trade, I am a historian (specifically, a military archivist), with hopes of attaining a little domestic sphere sometime in the future. I currently live in Pennsylvania but have been to all sorts of other places.
I am a "traditionally-minded" Roman Catholic who attends a Latin Mass facilitated by the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP). My patron saints are St. Megan, St. Timothy, St. Catherine Laboure, and St. Michael the Archangel. Close favorites include St. Catherine of Siena, St. Elizabeth of Hungary, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, St. Augustine, St. Padre Pio, and St. Bernadette, among many others.

I have many hobbies. I love to read, cook, bake, sew, knit, crochet, write fiction, sing, play music, garden, and even draw occasionally. I love all things feminine but I must admit a tomboyish streak which allows for an interest in the outdoors, shooting, and historic trades. If I had an aesthetic, it would be "cottagecore" without a doubt.

Some other facts about me:
- My temperament is melancholy-choleric, with my Myers-Briggs code being INFJ
- My family is a Heinz 57 of ethnicities, including Scottish, English, German, Polish, Italian, Welsh, and Native American.
- I try to follow the Marian Modesty guidelines for dress. Which means that I wear long skirts and dresses nearly every day. It's so...freeing!
- I am a tea drinker. The Celestial Herbal teas are my go-to!
- I love cult classic TV shows from the 1950s-1980s (Hogan's Heros, Andy Griffith Show, etc.), as well as cooking shows, home improvement shows, and period drama mini-series.
- My music taste leans heavily on Celtic and country, but I also love instrumental and choral music. I also love Gregorian Chant, and even sing in my church choir!
- My favorite season is summer, because I can't stand the cold.
- My favorite authors include J.R.R. Tolkien, G.K. Chesterton, C.S. Lewis, Jen Turano, Jane Austen, Brian Jacques, and Lucy Maud Montgomery.
- I have an eclectic taste in movies, which range from religious films, musicals, period dramas, classic westerns, and Marvel.
- I love watching physical sports like American Football, equestrian sports, jousting, and volleyball. Competing in them is another story.
- I am a pro-life and politically conservative person.
- My favorite animals are dogs and horses, which I suppose is one of the reasons why the Centaur is one of my favorite mythological creatures.
- I hate washing dishes.
- I have a sweet tooth. Dark chocolates, Skittles, 3 Musketeers, and Starbursts don't have a chance with me.
